Bring him home!
That guy was a beast in high school, and I can only assume he's gotten even bigger and better.
Any way we can add him to the equation?

I heard about that... man, we need to go after this guy... would put him right up there with derricks... we recruited him out of HS but he chose AF over SMU and Missouri.
Someone alert the coaches!

He is listed at 6-2 245. Was recruited by SMU and Missouri out of hs. Won the National wrestling title as a junior in hs and state title his senior year. All kinds of honors in football at Air Force. Just doesn't want to be in the Academy.

He's as good as Derricks? Are you serious? That's pretty high praise, from what I understand about Derricks.
If that's the case, get him somehow.

What would his transfer status be? Does he get immediate eligibility? (Probably not). Would a move like this excuse him from a military obligation down the road?

I would think that he would have to sit out a year. He is a sophomore so I don't think he owes any military obligation.

I saw him play on t.v. several times this year. He was a faster version of Chris Bordano. I believe he is only the first or second player in AFA history to be named captain as a sophomore.

Schlegel is like a bigger Bill Keily. Jason Simonton with more size and a lot more speed. A bigger, stronger, faster Vic Viloria. This guy is a dream middle linebacker. Extremely tough against the run, better than you'd think against the pass (in coverage and in rushing the QB) and an absolutely vicious hitter.
And he has the cool barbwire tattoo on his arm, so you know he's tough, right?

Not a bad comparison, M Street, comparing him to Bordano. But as great as Bordano was, he played more upright - almost a little stiff. Schlegel is a wrecking ball with a facemask.

Schlegel was a monster at HP against all opponents and the team I believe went undefeated until playoffs. He was the tean age weight lifting national champion at some point. Anthony held the title for total points on defense until broken by Brent Karrington his senior year. Schlegel was instrumental in getting Karrington to go to Air Force before he finally committed to Bennett. Maybe he can return the favor and help get Anthony to SMU..

If somehow we could get Schlegel, do you see how much pure power and strength would be added? Schlegel, Massey, Boren, Martin (if he signs), Derricks (if he signs) - all incredibly strong.
