...if you are going to make a post that someone committed to SMU or someone else it would be helpful to give a site confirming that info because I've seen many rumors passed as the truth by SMU fans etc. Ex. I've seen numerous posts by SMU fans on this board and others saying Martin is committed to SMU. Ain't true. If you got confirmation name it-if not label it as rumors and hearsay and tell us if you can how you heard that. Just a suggestion.

BTW I think I tracked down how this rumor got started-it was by a SWT fan on Horns.com who linked an article about certain Division 1 transfers at SWTS. The Link did not contain Derricks name so we are relying as far as I can see on the statement of a single SWTU fan. Not saying it ain't true just waiting for some legitimate confirmation.

I saw the same thing - and the SWT fan didn't even mention his name - This is all just speculation at this point. I don't see why Kurt would post "A commit" based upon that SWT fan's post.

Good Question. Wasn't that weightlifter/FB from Atlanta who evidently followed Cavan to SMU eligible immediately? Is SWT a I-aa school? Does that mean this player could transfer to SWT for a year and then to SMU with no loss?

the guy that runs the SWT website who started the rumor in the first place posted the other day that he still hoped he would enroll there but that it wasn't definite.
