We're going need bigger lineman. The commits we have, are small by Big East standards.

Shhhuuussshhh, you can't make observations about our recruits unless they are extremely positive. It doesn't matter if they are accurate or not. You cannot be truthful unless it is positive.

Have you seen the guy play? Do you know how to scout OL talent? Do you KNOW for certain that size translates to better performance in the BE and, if so, are you sure everyone else's OL recruits are bigger than ours in the BE?

No?

Oh, right. you don't.

Then what's "accurate" about the negative observations? That we beat out Rice only? Yeah, that is accurate and would agree that it would have been better to beat out aTm like we did with a 2012 OL recruit. But that's not the case here. There's still time for a high 3 and/ 4 stars to emerge. Wish this guy was a 4 or 5 star, but he's not.

If you want to be negative, at least point out the "accurate" reasons to be. People who want to complain will always find something to complain about. If we landed Ricky Seals-Jones, an "accurate" observation might be: "yeah, but he's really a TE and our system doesn't really fit well with TEs".

Moving on.

Other side of the coin is that if someone makes a positive comment and does not caveat it with comments pointing out the negative things about the overall class then they will very often be attacked as a sunshiner.

Both sides really seem to do a pretty good job of taking the fun out of this board.

He was talking about the kids size not his quality of play. His observation of his size was correct. I said absolutely nothing negative about this kid. For the record I like this kid as a recruit he seems to have a mean streak and is constantly putting people on their back. My comment was not directed at this kid but directed at the fans on here that go crazy when you say something that is factual that some choose to interpret as negative which you have just proven. Go crazy trying to argue against facts if you want. You are right I would say that about RSJ because it would be accurate but I believe that we would find a way to use him. I don't want to complain about anything but I am also not going to ignore things that are in front of my face.

I am going to agree with you to an extent, the fun really has been taken out of this board because the fan base is so divided. I wish we were more in sync but I don't think that will happen unless JJ moves on or he has a huge season here, 8-5 isn't going to win anybody over at this point.

i don't think there is all that much difference between the top of CUSA and top of BE in o-line.

As you move up the ladder there is a huge difference. top of Big 12 is waaaaay different then top of cusa or BE.

Pitt's offensive line looked pretty big, and Margus Hunt, Taylor Thompson, Marquis Frazier, etc., whipped them all day. Meanwhile, our little OLs like Beachum and LeRibeus opened lanes for backup running backs and kept McDermott's upright most of the day as we kicked Pitt's tail and those two got drafted in the NFL.

It's true that we don't want offensive linemen who could serve as stunt doubles for third graders, but people need to stop fussing over an inch or two of height and see if the guys can just play.
