Nice to see those California Tax dollars going towards scholarships for P Diddy's and Snoop Dog's kids. Next up, Bill Gates Jr. If Snoop's kid gets caught with weed, will anyone be surprised.

If the kid earned a scholarship the kid deserves a scholarship. Scholarships are for the kids not the parents.

I don't see how UCLA could sign Snoop's kid, unless he's bypassing his last 2 years of high school

Nobody has signed anything. He has been offered a scholarship. That's all.

Funny.

Would anybody have a problem with this if we were a public school and the kid signed with us?

First, you don't decide to recruit a kid but not offer a scholarship because they have rich parents. That is just plain moronic if you think that way.

For what it's worth, I saw some highlights of Snoop's kid and he looks legitimate. He's something like 6'2, 185 as a highschool sophomore and he looks like a great athlete in the videos I saw.

That being said, I doubt he goes to UCLA. If USC offers him, I'm guessing he'll head there since Snoop is frequently spotted on their sidelines during practices/games.

I agree that it would be wrong to withhold a scholarship from a kid who "earned" it based upon his own merit. My original post was intended as a joke.

KId will be a sophomore in high school this fall and has never played a down of HS football. He has been offered a UCLA scholarship. Do not read anymore into the situation.
