That story says Mason told him he'd be used the same way as Beasley. Doesn't mean he IS the next Beasley (but it sure would be cool to have another just like him!)

I did not say IS, I said could be. Basically that is what he said. And he could be the next Cole Beasley.

Maybe I am putting too much into this, but Mason doesn't go after many offensive players. I think the good news maybe that he has gotten real serious about recruiting and he is working well with our new co-offensive coordinator. First, he got his man, second it was player for the offense and third for a brand new position coach.

After going JUCO, Baxter ended up signing with USF. Didn't meet all their requirements and walked on at OU in August. He's now starting at receiver after being in Norman for only a month.

After numerous attempts of trying to contact various SMU coaches, Lakeview Centennial (TX) wide receiver Jarvis Baxter was finally able to track down defensive coordinator Tom Mason on Tuesday night and gave his verbal commitment.
