I was AMAZED at the turn out of the Recruiting Recap here today! We obviously have many many people who still care deeply about the rich tradition of SMU football. Briefly what Coach Bennett said was extremely exciting and motivating to those of us in attendance. He seems EXTREMELY high on Massy,Meeks, and Sturdivant. Here's to a great recruiter and a great coach!

Biggest surprise to me was how fast Jay'Mond Cleveland was on the highlight tape they showed. I knew he could run, but when he turned the corner, he was gone.
Like Coach Bennett said, we could throw together a sprint relay team in this class. Fred Taylor, Ervin McGee, C.D. Moss, Jay'Mond Cleveland - and there's probably more I'm forgetting about. That group would win some races as a relay.

well just remember that you are watching highlites. Cleveland had a lot of catches but a very poor yards per catch ratio-and I know he was in a short passing game offense but it also was in HS where you'd think a guy could make some big runs. He probably is a ball control receiver in College.

This was my first time to se most of these guys in action. I know it doesn't mean much but after seeing just a very few plays I was blown away by Desmond Jones. I would not be surprised to see him start at DT. Avery Cleveland is going to be awesome. Bennett thinks Pellerin can possibly contribute early. Given his size that would be nice. All in all, it's a very good class. Hopefully most of them can be red-shirted.

I agree, I'd like to see them all redshirt, but the scuttlebutt is that Desmond Jones has every chance to play. Whether or not he starts remains to be seen, of course, but I bet he can play early. Based off 3 or 4 plays anyway!
