Your new uni's...

I don't know how you all feel, and probably don't care my opinion, but I didn't see a need for change. I actually thought you had some of the classier looking uni's out there, and then to change to these!?! I know every knew coach has to make his "mark" on the tradition of a school, but I think Bennett could have done somehting else. Just my opinion.

I was very unsure about the new uni's until I saw them - they look much more updated, and you realize we needed it once you see them. Thanks froggie - glad you care.

We get enough sh*t for being purple, so why not throw a little black in there to mix it up. Just beat us a few times and then start to worry about our uni's. I simply said I like your old ones and didn't see a need for a change, especially a down grade.

Honestly, I was a fan of the old uni's too. But Bennett's thought process is that we have a new team, a new philosophy and a new winning attitude.

I think he wants a physical, tangible symbol of the divorce this team is making from the way things were done in the past and the losing mindset of the post DP years.

IMHO, it has nothing to do with Bennett needing to put his own particular brand on the team. So if a change needed to be made, I think they did a pretty good job coming up with something as cool as what we had before. They are a bit more sinister looking, which hopefully, will be appropriate.

I actually like the new uni's and think Bennet is doing exactly what Fran did when he came to TCU. We went to a darker shade of purple and actually brought in the black too. I'm not a huge fan of that, but see it as a minor change, especially if it's just the pants. I think Bennet is trying to take TCU's gameplan for a lot of his moves over there, and don't blame him a bit.

Congrats on the good class, hope it gets the rivalry back up to speed soon.

Yo, Froggy why don't you guys play someone before you get on any website talking about y'alls record. Now believe me, I'm not an SMU grad, but have lived in Dallas my whole life. You guys have done a great job "in your conference," but y'all really haven't played anyone. I just wonder how good the Frogs would be if they were in the Big 12 or any of the other big time conferences. There is a reason TCU is in the conference it's in, plain and simple. Though it you guys could replace Baylor anyday for me. Just hope that Patterson stays around and keep doing what y'all are doing. The Ponies are coming back and that's a good thing for the whole Dallas/Ft. Worth Area. Coach B has this time on the way.

Yes, I'm glad we played Colorado St. and not someone like Big 12 North Champion Colorado in our bowl game. Of course CSU beat them this year and has two of the past three years. I'd say holding the #17 team in the country to 130 total yds is fairly impressive. Thanks for the well wishes on Patterson, you may want to ask him for a loan on his new long term contract he signed on Wednesday. No buy-out clause. Judging by SMU's record, it's not that easy to just play an easy schedule.

Folks, the all-time record is 38-38-7.
TCU has won the last few, we had a streak a while back, etc., etc.
So neither school has real bragging rights. These things are cyclical.

I have plenty of TCU friends in Ft. Worth, including my brother in law who played for TCU during the Wacker years. You guys can't stand Patterson. You are waiting for a 5-6 record so you can get rid of him. I would love it if you losers extended his contract. There is plenty of "behind the scenes" dislike for Patterson (aka "the small guy") in Ft. Worth. By the way, nice basketball season you dorks are putting together over there, especially that quality game vs. Houston.

Ok..That's ridiculous. If anyone is dumb it's people like the Aggies that wanted RC Slocum out after winning the Big 12. I'm so sick of people being so anti-long term coach. Texas fans hate Mack Brown because he can't win the National title. TCU fans supposedly don't like Patterson because he's moving in the right direction so fast it's not even funny. I can't stand the frogs but I will not say that they had an easy schedule this year. Just look what Tulane did to Hawaii granted HU's starting QB got hurt in the first quarter. The C-USA is a step above the WAC and both are among the top 8 conferences in the nation in football. There's nothing real easy about either of them. Even Bennett said the WAC is harder than he ever imagined. He also said that Patterson was doing a great job and was a great coach. Don't deny the truth just to talk trash. Our day will come. I can't believe we blew a 5 game all-time lead on the frogs. Im sure the lead pre DP was way bigger. But our day will come.
