My thoughts:

John Newhouse plays with Frank Okam, who many people think is one of the best (if not THE best) OL/DT prospects around next year. Who knows whether they're friends, but it couldn't help to have a Lake Highlands guy on board. That school has produced some talent over the years.

I thought Kelon Davis signed somewhere. Not true?

I read someplace that Flannery is actually kind of lean, if you can believe that for someone who's 285. Maybe he could add 20-30 pounds and bring nice depth to the offensive line.

We've opened the Highland Park-to-SMU pipeline in recent years. With SMU grad Que Brittain at the helm, we need to open the Skyline-to-SMU pipeline as well, making Brandon Harper or Calvin Brown rather interesting.

Fulbright sounds like he has a great frame to be a safety, and if he really ran a 4.6 before his injury, maybe he can add weight and get back to that speed? If so, he becomes a terrific safety prospect.

Untwaun Johnson sounds like the versatile athlete Bennett loves.

you guys I know you were unaware of it but Cory Fulbright is the Everman kid who was paralyzed in the 4A State Championship game. I didn't really know that he was such a good prospect or that he had interest in SMU.

Oh jeez, I didn't realize that was the same kid. Sorry about that snafu.
Best of luck for a full and speedy recovery.

Many of you probably saw the Texas high school 5A DI state championship game between Midland High and Converse Judson. Ryan Rowland was the quarterback for Midland High and is seriously considering SMU. He is a big, strong kid with great speed and a very good arm. He made some incredible plays in the state championship despite Midland High's heartbreaking loss in the last 7 seconds. From what I have seen from Rowland he definately has what it takes to be a D-I quarterback. Hopefully, he will choose SMU as I believe he can give any of our quarterbacks a run for their money....
