"His cousin, Buffy Seals, will make the presentation."

Come on, ED, get RSJ to commit to SMU while there!

apparently Rickey Seals Jones suffered dislocated kneecap-projection is that he will miss 3-6 weeks

Never seen that injury until Sterling Moore and now here it is again. At least we know it is recoverable.

Yeah, I saw that. Hope he has a speed recovery. Won't hurt his recruiting at all.

Best thing Larry Brown could ever do, and best thing ED could do since deciding on playing for us, would be to get this guy here. Would be a recruiting game-changer for our program.

Eric D was the second overall pick, not 2nd round.

Imagine the signing day headline: "RSJ Shocks the World and Commits to SMU: After Winning CUSA and the Hawaii Bowl by 40 Points The Mustangs Head into the New Big East with $20M Share of CBS TV Contract and Planning Efforts to Break Ground for A New IPF to be completed by 2014." Along with two 4 star defensive tackles, high 3 star Jeremiah Gaines, and now RSJ, the 2013 recruiting class is clearly the best Ponies class post-death penalty.

"In other news, Julius Randle and the Harrison brothers have committed to the SMU basketball team . . . "

Pipeline to Sealy High!

Austin AM 1300 reporting UT backs off recruitment of Seals-Jones because of a "bad vibe":

no improprieties, just probably seemed less than rock-solid in his interest in UT, or too many others involved..

Said the kid just wouldn't pull the trigger on Texas..

spin this any way you want. Texas is losing it's hold on the Big XII (championships) and can't afford to take "damaged goods"

kind of reminds me of the DB we picked up several years back (as I recall he was leaning towards OU beforee getting hurt) and I think he became a bit contributor for us

Either they don't want to wait around on him or he is demanding too much money...saw it with Lache Seastrunk a couple of yrs ago. Mack immediately pulled his offer. They don't want hot dog players

Here's the video of the highlights of the ceremony. I wish at the end of his speech, he would have looked right at RSJ and said "Pony up!" (the woman introducing him is his cousin and RSJ's mom).
