From the Orlando Sentinel:

# 1 in the WAC. They should have included Desmond and Molly Joness with Vera, Chuck and Dave (Beatles reference). I wonder how many people will get this.

Pretty cool that Pat Hill calls this Fresno class his best ever, yet we're ranked higher -- at least by the recruiting wizards at the Orlando paper...

That's true, but just about every coach calls each class their best ever, if only to appeal to the fans and alums.
I hope that in 2-3 years, we're still convinced our class is the best in the WAC.

And I love the paper's comment about our class:
"This is type of class that can help SMU go bowling again."
Love it - you KNOW that if it's in a newspaper, it's got to be accurate, right?

...for those of you that don't know the Orlando Sentinal is unsurpassed in its recruiting coverage by any paper in the United States and has a Guru named Bill Burkhalter that runs a pretty darn good weblink that often scoops the Insiders and Rivals on Commitments in both BB and FB.

Stallion,
Wow, I was being sarcastic in what I said about the Orlando paper. Even more exciting knowing they have credibility.
Thanks for passing this information along to us.

But haven't you also said that sportswriters don't know anything about recruiting?
I'm confused...

if you'd read with comprehension you'd understand that he is one of the few exceptions. Instead of being a smartass about something you don't know about why don't you check out his website I cited and then tell us whether he's just another newspaper writer.
