Do you guys think there's any chance of securing some commitments at the Spring Game this weekend? Boy how nice would it be to get in on all this VERY EARLY recruiting that seems to be sweeping across the country. I'd like to see three or four guys jump on board in the following week. any ideas on who it might be?

I have a hunch we'll get at least one within a week. Maybe more, but I think 4 might be a reach. Let's get the first one, then go from there.

What guys do we know of that we are definitely in on? Are these guys true Blue Chippers? It seems with the limited amount of scholorships we have available, we should really aim high.

this is just a guess but how about a commitment from Hillsboro WR Donald Massey the younger brother of Richuel. He is a big time home run threat who made big plays at both WR and TB last year and is a top state contender in the sprints-some of his best times seem to be in the 200 meters.

That's a good guess, Stallion. The Massey brothers are very close, and there was widespread speculation that Donald Massey (who also played QB at Hillsboro HS last year) would end up wherever Richuel signed. In fact, as promising as Richuel is, there are some schools that were thought to be recruiting him in part to get an inside track with his brother. Donald Massey would add an instant infusion of speed to the Ponies -- he's probably faster than Kevin Garrett or Trey Griffin.
From the people I've talked to, there were between 25 and 35 recruits in attendance at the Red/Blue game.

I didn't count that many, but I hope you're right!
Also, it was hard to tell from a distance which guys were recruits and which guys were in this year's signing class. I heard a bunch of them showed up.

"...he's probably faster than Kevin Garrett or Trey Griffin."
And he's taller too.

Is he going to run track, too? Is SMU's track team good enough (in the sprints/jumps) to appeal to him?
