Looks like top Illinois forward is coming to the Hilltop. Congratulations coach Brown and staff.

"Sterling Brown (6'4) plays guard and forward for Proviso East HS (Maywood, IL). He's widely considered one of the top HS players in Illinois' heralded Class of 2013. He has offers to play college basketball from Illinois and DePaul. He is the younger brother of Shannon Brown (Lakers) by 9 ½ years. He played AAU ball for Mac Irvin Fire 16U (Chicago, IL). These Spring/Summer highlights from 2011 are from the Chicago area."

I thought Larry Brown only has Centers and Point Guards. The rest just play.

Also offered by Memphis, Miami, Missouri, Nebraska, Northwestern, and Oregon State. Some report a Michigan State offer too, where his older brother, two time NBA champ Shannon Brown played.

Do you think we can get Larry to do some football recruiting too? Would be a vast improvement over current efforts.

LB is recruiting first year to a Big East basketball program. Compare that to JJ recruiting after five years to a football Big East that is NOTHING like the bball side in terms of stature.

Good try at justifying June's poor recruiting this year. Look at the UCF and Houston classes and the BCS offers those commits have. UCF has 30 BCS offers to commits, Houston has 23 BCS offers to commits, and SMU has 10 BCS. And all the BCS offers for SMU are to one recruit. They are upgrading their recruiting classes and SMU is still recruiting like they are in CUSA. UCF and Houston are doing like LB and aiming high.
