Brian Butler (6-3, 241, 4.6) is a defensive end at Yukon (Okla.) HS in Yukon, Okla., and is projected as either a DE or an OLB in college.
Butler recorded 79 tackles with 16 sacks in 2002.
He lists Oklahoma as his early favorite. His other schools, in which he says he has equal interest, are SMU, Arizona State, Arkansas and Kansas State.

Don't know how big that school is, or what kind of competition they face, but 16 sacks is impressive at almost any level./

Having a knack for finding the quarterback, Butler returns at defensive end for Yukon High School this season.
As a junior, Butler recorded 79 tackles (28 solos) with three fumble recoveries, two caused fumbles, an impressive 16 sacks and 29 quarterback pressures, 14 other tackles for losses, two pass deflections and one blocked kick.
The six-foot-three, 241-lb defensive end that has the speed to also play linebacker, has a 325-lb bench, 450-lb squat and 31.5-inch vertical leap. Butler also is good in the classroom, carrying a 2.9 GPA and scoring 19 on the ACT. He plans on majoring in Criminal Justice.
Butler's favorite is Oklahoma, followed by Arkansas, Arizona State, SMU and Kansas State. He plans to camp at Oklahoma and Kansas State.
His parents graduated from New Mexico State.
Butler could be recruited as either a defensive end or possibly linebacker in Division I-A.
