According to Rivals, this kid committed to us today. 5-10, 170, 4.42 corner. Speed.....speed......speed.

I guess by three you mean this kid and both Chase brothers? Or did I miss something?

Can someone please cut and paste the Rival's article on this guy for the rest of us. I love the fact that we are getting early commitments, but offers from UTEP and Baylor don't exactly get me excited that we have stollen some jewel here.

I'll get in touch w/ the head coach at Sulphur Springs (was my head coach at Lone Oak) and see what he has to say about him.

It does not mean much that only Baylor and UTEP has offered him at this point. It is still early in the recruiting process. He will still continue to get offers even though he committed to us, especially if he has a great senior year. I think it is great that we were able to get this kid. We are starting to win some recruiting battles over other schools. In the past, we were getting players that had SMU as there only Division 1 offer. Now, we are getting players that other schools want as well. With our limited number of scholarships available for next year, Bennett would not have offered him if he was not a great player. Bennett is a great talent evaluator and I'm sure this kid will be a gem.

Rumor has it that there are a LOT of college coaches enamored with this guy. I hear the coaches are ecstatic about him.
FYI: I saw another report that had him listed at 6-1. That's huge for a cornerback. He and Robert Gilmore represent the tallest pair of SMU CBs in quite a while, maybe ever. Now we just need to get Gilmore healthy and out on the field!

I couldn't find much online about Lindley, except that he's mentioned on the Texas 5A Top 10 lists as one of the "Best of the Rest". Meaning that while he's not (according to them) one of the Top 10 DBs in Texas, he's still pretty dang good.

In addition to his offers from UTEP and Baylor, he also was drawing interest from Texas, Iowa, TCU and NTSU.
