SMUINSIDER.COM REPORTS SMU HAS OFFERED WR DaMahco Ousley,tulsa ok.he is 6-1/192/4.4 he has received offers from kan,neb,ok,okst,smu,tam,tulsa and receiving interest in k state.i don't know if this is old or new news.he has a 3star rating just wondering if he is a high priority because of c.cunningham departure after this season. since i live in n.y. never heard or seen him any info out there about this recruit.

Well we're certainly OFFERING an impressive list of guys so far. I don't get too jazzed by us offering a guy unless he's seriously considering signing w/ us. I'm not saying this guy won't or isn't interested but I don't think every guy we offer is necessarily thinking seriously about us.

As far as I can tell, we offered him a while ago, along with another WR on his HS team (Quentin Chaney), a DE (Michael Tate, or Wade, or something like that) and an OL - Bryce Nelson. That high school (Tulsa Booker T. Washington) cranks out tremendous athletes every year. If we get just one of those guys, maybe it will open the door to the school.

Apparently Coach Roark is doing great things in Oklahoma. And it doesn't hurt that the BTW head coach played (or so I hear) for one Phil Bennett.

And there's talk that Mack Brown has offered Dallas (St. Mark's) WR Kenton Thornton. Assuming that's true, then if (when) he accepts, Thornton would be the sixth WR in next year's class in Austin..

On the latest report I saw, Ousley has been bumped up from 2 stars to 3. If he didn't play on the same team as Chaney, he might be even higher-ranked, I would think.
