Middle linebacker prospect?

Does this guy appeal to anyone but me?

Mark Green
Height: 5-11
Weight: 250 pounds
40: 4.8
Mesquite High School

He's a little shorter than you'd like, but if he can get 250 pounds going fast enough to run a 4.8, I bet he could knock the hell out of guys. I pity the RBs who try to come up the middle against Mesquite HS when he turns it loose.

Of course, that's not to confuse him with OL Brian Green (6-5, 290, 5.2) of Klein (Forest), Texas, who I also would like to see as a Mustang.

Damn! If that's the case, then ClassOf81 is on to something. Anyone know if we've offered him? Sounds like Mesquite has some very talented players this year (this Green guy, safety Randy Duncan, some massive OL prospect....) - who recruits the Mesquite area?

Mark Green is one of the more coveted linebacker prospects in the state. A lot of coaches look at him and think they see a Brian Urlacher clone. He's not as fast as Urlacher, but he's extremely strong and extremely quick. And a vicious hitter. Personally, I see more of a Levon Kirkland duplicate in him. I don't think he'll pump up to 300 pounds like Kirkland did, but he should get bigger, which might force a move to defensive tackle.
