Lindley's Stock Booming

...in the last few days there's has been a couple of glowing reports by an analyst named Stacy Dean "Texas Recruiting Analyst" (never heard of Dean?) for Insiders on Jonathan's Lindley and how he has been the star of a couple of 7 on 7 tournaments-the writer obviously thought he had found the greatest sleeper in history-calling him an outstanding "shut down" corner, a definite 3 star player and guranteed that he would jump into the Texas Top 100 for the Insiders in August. Dean said Lindley had great hips an was an outstanding backpedaler and that QBs were so respectful of his blanket coverage that they were afraid to throw to his side of the field-when they finally did he was made an outstanding pass knockdown on a perfectly thrown ball. The next day he reported at the bottom of the second story that- oh by the way- Lindley had already committed to SMU. Of course, because of that the Insiders FINALLY added him to their Database---as a one star!!!!! I expect any day some recruitnik for the Insiders is going to "discover" Vincent Chase as an unhearlded nuggett too-since they STILL don't have him in their database even though the kid has 15-20 offers with 3 from among the top 6 recruiting staffs in the country. Again, I get the Insiders because I love any info that I can get but if you don't love recruiting DON'T waste your money on the Insiders-they are total BUFFONS. Rivals at least has shown the ability to adjust there ratings when it is obvious that they have completely missed a guy who everyone is after.

BTW Lindley was chosen a couple of weeks ago as the No. 85 player as I remember in Lone Star Recruiting's most recent Top 100-Lone Star Recruiting is a Rivals affiliate so it seems to be a general consensus that we got a great prospect in Lindley.

Hope he gets a lot of offers from big schools - and turns them down to stay with SMU!

It's hard to argue with that story. I hope he's as good as advertised. He and Robert Gilmore would present a couple of nice-sized corners (assuming Gilmore comes all the way back from that frightening knee injury).
