Swing and a miss
Posted: Tue Aug 05, 2003 10:56 amAlan Davis, the 4-star DE from Colleyville Heritage, committed yesterday to Oklahoma. I'd heard SMU was trying to get in on the race for his services. Bob Stoops got a good one.
Did we actually go after him? I know there were connections and that he was interested in SMU, but did we actually pursue him? I'm not sure we did.
My assumption (which is a big one) is that we were waiting to see how he performed at the summer camps. This is assumption is based on 0 firsthand knowledge. I haven't spoken to any of the coaches on the subject.
Anyone know for sure?
