I wonder how aggressively June and his staff will recruit another quarterback this year. He generally only takes one each class. If they're really aggressive pursuing another one, it may be a sign that they're ultimately looking to move Darrell Colbert to another position. Just thinking out loud. It'll be interesting to see.

Always been a little surprised we didn't go after more Westlake players that have gone on to play D-1 athletics. It was my alma mater as well.
Peruna is my mascot!

I wasn't sold on Severt early in the season, but after watching him progress my opinion of him changed greatly. Didn't realize there were a few Chaps on the board. My dad lived in Westlake for a little while and I became friends with several people that went to school there and have followed the program heavily since 03, love the atmosphere that you guys have down there, and would love to see more Chaps come to the hilltop. Always wished we could have got Nick Foles to come to SMU!

He was a year younger than me, but Foles was our qb my senior year, and given what he accomplished, he could have made a great Mustang during some off-and-on quarterbacking years at SMU. With guys like Brees, Seth Mckinney, Ryan Swope, Bryce Hager, and Kyle Adams coming out of Westlake (seemingly almost year after year), this biased WHS and SMU alum hopes we take on a stronger presence in Austin. (Though SMU did show interest in Bryce's brother, Bron, so maybe I'm wrong...)
[Also, I am not making any statements about whether we could have gotten these guys, had we recruited them--just that we typically had a weak presence 2 hours south on I-35, despite similarities in the schools.]

I remember watching all of those guys, Kyle Adams was a beast, Max Minor was very shifty and fast as well, what ever happened to him??

When I remember seeing Willis play against Temple and kept an eye on him because I was impressed by his size, but from what I remembered he wasn't very athletic, very slow off the snap, and really got fatigued later in the game (which was a track meet 49-42 or something like that).
