Drew Crank

This is a kid from E. C. Glass in Virginia whose stock is rising rapidly. 6-9 220. Didn't even get serious about basketball until last season. As a junior, he was a respectable #5 seed on a very good TENNIS team (he was 6 foot 7 then), which would seem to suggest he's very coordinated for a big man. Had a good year last year in his first full year of serious basketball, but has been apparently "tearing it up" in AAU this summer, and has offers so far from Virginia Tech, William & Mary, and RICE, also some interest from UVA (according to my Lynchburg, VA source). Is an excellent student. Also, though he's 6-9, consensus opinion is, he's not done growing. A skinny kid, but that can be fixed, and you can't teach athletic ability, which he obviously has. I don't have his stats for last year, unfortunately, but apparently they pale in comparison to this summer.
I hope we've got someone looking into this guy. Sounds like a great student athlete, the kind we're looking for. Virginia Tech is now techically an ACC school, if he's good enough for them and Rice, I would think he could be good enough for us.
Anybody with an actual Rivals subscription got any more info?
