Is there any way we can just get Bennett to go ahead and recruit for the basketball team while he's on the road. Surely he could do as good as Dement is.
The attitude dictates that you don't care whether she comes, stays, lays, or prays. I mean whatever happens, your toes are still tappin'. Now when you got that, then you have the attitude.

Well, when I look at players like Sasser and Hancock and Ross and Hopkins, I'm not going to sit here and suggest that Dement can't recruit. But I will agree that Coach Bennett probably could recruit baseball players to SMU.

Pony4Life- You forget that the Dement bashers give all recruiting successes to Tubbs. Dement went along for the ride I guess. They keep forgetting that Tubbs didn't sign any of the Dallas area stars when Shu was here. We will miss Tubbs and I think Dement always gave him credit for the recruiting successes (like a good head coach would do). I think Dement will continue to recruit as well though with his new guys. Our problem is not with Dement's abilities but with restrictions w3hich keep him from filling the occasional hole with some JUCO guys and the fact that we have no coaching/PE majors. It seems reasonable to me that someone who loves sports (as most all players do)might want to coach. This is a huge problem to overcome with a lot of these young men.

I'm a Dement basher and I think Tubbs was about a bad of a recruiter as Dement. If not worse. Ok ok, they both suck. At least we only have one left to rid ourselves of.

I forgive the Dement supporters... they're not quite as bad as the Cavan fans.

Oh come on now UNF06...tell us how you really feel. Don't hold back. BTW, how's the beach action these days?
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
