SMU offers 2-star LB

Postby Hoofprint » Sun Oct 26, 2003 12:42 am

Insiders is reporting that Bradley Bullitt (5-11.5, 216, 4.57) of Garland (Naaman Forest) has an offer from SMU and is interested. (Some recruiting analysts project him as a safety in college.)

He reportedly has "medium" interest in six other schools besides SMU: Kansas State, Iowa State, Texas A&M, UCLA, Texas Tech and Baylor. He has arranged an official visit to Iowa State in December. SMU is the only school to offer him so far.

this is the brother of A&M's Melvin Bullit and son of Aggie Jerry Bullit who was coached by Bennett at A&M. He's a 2 star on the Insiders but a 3 star and 5.5 on Rivals. Some may remember his brother committed to A&M early but between the Slocum firing and Coach Fran hiring mentioned SMU as a alternative possibility.

So would he be an A&M lock if they offer him? Or do you think this is a case of having SMU on his list only because we've offered?

from comments made by his father in the DMN I'm pretty sure Jerry Bullit holds Bennett in very high estime, but I have no idea about the kid. At 5' 11'' he's a tad short and might get passed over by the BCS schools but he could excell at a slightly lower level. He's tall enough for the Dallas Cowboys so we'll see.

Does he project as a linebacker or as a safety?
