Congrats to SMU Commits Vincent Chase and Scott Hall of Irving and Wilton McCrary of LaMargue whose teams advanced to the third round of the playoffs with victories last night. Also, SMU recruit QB Scott Elliot of Bay City is still alive.

Oh I know who Zach is...just wondering who Scott was. I haven't been in the loop for a while for a number of reasons....When you come back from being out of it, you have all sorts of questions...Is he really going to be highly recruited? Has he said anything about us? Sorry for all the questions, I am sure they have already been answered...but I haven't been paying attention in a while...

well before the season he was named as a Texas Top 159 juniors by Rivals-but really its early for that kind of thing for the junior class. He had to play a big role in Jamaal Evans 2,387 yards as a SOPHMORE along with Vincent Chase!!!!! And Irving is still playing in the playoffs. Excellent size. Unless you scout the kid who knows at this early a date-but from what I can see what's not to like? I think we might be able to find the kid a scholarship.

are we talking about Chris Hall? I don't know who Scott Hall is, but Chris is the younger (and bigger) brother of Zach who plays on the OL for Irving.

How about the "Jamaal Brothers"-Jamaal Charles next year and Jamaal Evans in two years.

SMU commit LB Wilton McCrary and LaMarque continued their rout of South Texas FB by beating El Campo 32-7 and SMU recruit QB Scott Elliot led Bay City to a 23-21 victory over CC Calallan as well. Irving's one dimentional running offense was finally halted in a loss to SouthLake Carroll.

I think Evans ended his season with more than 2,400 rushing yards -- an amazing total, especially considering (A) he was facing 5A defenses and (B) he wasn't even the starter at the beginning of the year.
