Rivals says he's heading out on his first trip - any idea where he's going? His bio says he's narrowed his choices to LSU, Arkansas, Kansas, Texas Christian, Tulsa and SMU.

He is going up to Tulsa of all places. SMU continues to ride the end of his list, but who knows.

Looking at the Rivals DB, it looks like we have offers to Massey (WR), 2 OG, 1 C, 1 CB, 1 S, 1 Athelete, and 1 DT.

The Corner hasn't been updated in a while. I have to think with the remaining 5 'ships, that we are going 3 OL, 2 DL, unless Massey comes over.

Honestly, we haven't popped up on Rivals that much. Bennett is flying much lower under the radar this year - last year they knew we were in on top prospects. This year, players like Martin are off Rivals and then all of a sudden we sign him and he pops up on there.

I don't have any idea of what is going on behind the scenes, but I am really intrigued to see why things are so quiet. I don't know if Rivals in general is more quiet this year, or it could be that we are just out recruiting more JUCO players or something. It is really interesting.

What is up with Donald? I assumed that he would play ball with his brother. Has he expressed any interest in us? What are our chances with him?

Slim and none if you believe the quotes in the last 3-4 recruiting reports I've seen.

I'm not giving up just yet. He and his brother are supposed to be extremely close. Maybe that'll help?

I think the power of the brother will come through... maybe Hall and the Chase brothers will call him and convince him.

Guys, sure blood is thick, but we're not even going to be one of his FIVE official visits. That isn't good. Yet he's visiting Tulsa, TCU, and Kansas. You's think we'd be in there if he was interested.

You can spin it any way you want. Hey I'd love to have him, but seriously, he doesn't seem interested at all.

We shall see, but if his brother can and probably has had him come visit many times. Not saying that he has us in his top2, but even if we were his favorite, he'd probably still take the other 5 visits anyway.

Honestly, maybe his brother is telling him to go to LSU or Arkansas if he gets the chance. Sure he has the opportunity to play here early and often, but LSU is playing for the national championship in a couple of weeks.

He could be a suprise commit for LSU, but I don't think so. I follow LSU as closely as I follow SMU, and I haven't read a single report or anything about him and LSU...

Like I said in another post, LSU is probably the last place we have to worry about losing a player...They have about 6 scholarships left with about 4 top Louisiana players to still land...and couple of Texas and Alabama guys...

I could be badly wrong, but from what I read from actual gurus(I'm definitely not), he isn't ever mentioned on the LSU side of it...And if he wants to play WR, he won't go to LSU...LSU signed three top WR's last year and look to land the number 1 WR in the country, Early Doucet...

LSU hasn't offered him. He just said that if they did, they would definately be his leader. I'm pretty sure Arkansas has though. We do compete with them and occasionally win with recruits, but that's pretty stiff competition.

Good call, gostangs. He's been here to visit Richuel many times on his own, so an official visit isn't necessary. We might not get him, but it's certainly not out of the question.
