However, we haven't offered and he is thinking of playing at a JUCO. I don't think we will offer another CB

That's too bad - he has good speed and really good size for a QB.

There are some guys out there who might not measure a desired height or weigh enough or blow up a stopwatch when running a 40, but they get recruited anyway when coaches identify them as "just football players." This guy's the opposite. Not that he's not a good player -- he is -- but here's a guy who might be an even better athlete than he is a player. He's got good size and speed for a cornerback (I have him at 180, but running a 4.5), and he's versatile -- he's played cornerback, safety and on special teams. He runs well for a bigger DB, although he's more of a sprinter than a cover guy who can watch a receiver and react quickly. With some added strength, I could see him making a terrific free safety, but I'm not sure he's as promising at cornerback. I like his overall ability, but there are a lot of other players who appear more likely to deliver on their promise. This guy could be great, but he brings too many "if's" for my taste.
