Big man prospect

Richardson Berkner sophomore Ugo Chinasa is a kid to keep your eye on. He’s about 6’6” with a huge wingspan. I can see him growing several more inches. He’s a lefty and has a nice mid range shot to go along with a good basketball sense. The 2006 class is loaded in the Dallas area and it is very likely that Chinasa could slide under the radar.

Let's just go out on a limb and assume that if he were to end up at SMU, we'd be the first school in history to have had two scholarship athletes named "Ugo" (along with soccer player Ugo Ihemelu, who should be a first-team all-America next year). Too bad Ihemelu will graduate before this guy arrives.

He's also considered a very promising defensive end prospect in football.

I know he's only a sophomore, but is there any indication whether he's leaning toward pursuing football or basketball?

What a great idea....let's talk about a sophmore high school player that will most likely attend another school other than SMU. Real smart guys. Why don't you talk about SMU'S lack of Texas top 100 players commited to play football for SMU next year. Now that would be a novel concept.

Pony4Life,
I’m not sure but he seems awfully thin to play on the defensive line at D1.

Johnny Rock,
Should I start referring to myself in the third person and posting meaningless dribble about how much our coaches, recruiting, and fans suck? It seems to be working great for you.
