Cincy Revokes All Scholarship Offers

in an incredibly stupid move by their new Head Coach-all offers to Cincy Commitments have been revoked 3 weeks before signing date-many found out about it on the last day of their official visits last weekend. Some had been committed for several months and had given up on other recruiting options. Noticed they had about 3 Offensive Lineman with excellent size who had been among the commitments. Need to get Rusty Burns up there immediately. This will poison the well for Cincinnati to recruit at any of those schools in the future. Another fine example of Coaching Ethics-this guy goes straight to the Top of my Scumbag List.

Do they have any players that can actually play at the Div level? If so, we should get the coach up there and get them to Dallas! What kind of academic standards does Cincy hold its student-athletes to?

They tend to recruit the coal mines, and jails. But I agree if by chance they have got a kid who actually has some brains we should get the coaches up there pronto! Especially if they have any DT's or OL's.

From the looks of things Cincy doesn't have much of a class this year. They do have an OL verbaled who is 6-7 360 lbs. Only problem is he runs a 6.19 40. Kind of makes our class look really good so far.

well they have 3 offensive lineman who go 6-7, 350, 6-5, 280, and 6-5, 285. One rated 5.4, another 5.3 and another 5.2 which is equal to or better than the OLM we've struck out on so far. Each was good enough to get a very early offer as all were committed by November- a couple much earlier. One was rated the No. 45 player in Ohio which is roughly equivalent to a Texas Top 100. As for the 6.19 Forty-I saw that too but you might want to do a little deeper digging because that was his forty at one camp the NIKE camp-I've got a hunch there might be extenuating circumstances about that time because I doubt any Division 1A team would commit a player AFTER knowing about that time-and believe me they did. He very well might have been hurt but our offensive coordinator had to see something in him-other than him being 6-7.

Sounds like Burns needs to be on a plane to Cincy with Bennett & Vinklarek today!
