poor Illini fans - they've lost 2 guys in one day with Alexander and Snyder. Ouch!

Hometown boy leaving Illinois to head down to Jayhawk nation.

Come on down Mr. Turner!!

Cliff is only 6'8" and plays power forward. They would still want Myles Turner at Center, and I'm sure they could free up the ship. :(

My buddy from UK said he'd be surprised if Cliff qualifies...

wow, interesting.

On the Turner front - I do wonder how much of the "SMU dark horse" talk is just window dressing to help SMU with publicity, maybe as a favor to Maligi or Brown - much like the Harrison twins did.

We were in their final 3 - but never had a realistic shot to get them over UK. It was more of a nod to LB.

I know Turner said that right after Mudiay committed but I haven't seen any mention of SMU with Turner since. Rivals still says he has zero interest in SMU

He wrote a blog a bit after that with some positive things about SMU. However, the Alexander signing with Kansas does nothing for us (good or bad) IMHO. Okafor NOT going to Kansas is bad for us.

Rivals did not say that. It was a poster on Rivals that said that. Turner mentioned SMU on his blog about a week ago.

Key players for Turner at this point look like Okie State, KU, UT, and AZ.

Ask this on the basketball thread. . . Does Stanley Johnson signing with Arizona increase SMU's chance with Jonah Bolden?

Sat in behind cliff on an airplane a few months back, I would tend to agree with your buddy. Dude seemed a bit slow.

This. CA to KU has little impact on Turner. KU 'ships are one year deals. KU could very well have 2-4 more (beyond Black and Wiggins).

Espn said today that Texas and OSu may be front runners now...I can't see him going to either. Didn't he mention he wants his family to see a lot of games?
