Baylor's Ben Hixson

...the thought crossed my mind that this kid out of South Lake Carroll could be Chuck Hixson's son but I never saw anybody that mentioned it-he did consider SMU but signed with Baylor-then I noticed the Baylor media release says he is a son of a "Chuck Hixson"-is he the same one of SMU fame?-if yes how did we lose him-perhaps he came to too many SMU games with his father over the last 15 years?

Interesting you would mention that. I asked my friend,whose brother played on that team with him, if she knew of any relation to the SMU QB and she said she didn't know. BTW, I just happened to see a letter to the editor today about Rayfield Wright's not being put into the Hall of Fame today in the DMN and it signed by a Chuck Hixson in Richardson. Maybe there is room in the DFW area for two of them.
