I could understand 4 or 5 but half is pretty high.

Some of those seem odd though. How do guys like Colbert and Hyder not have other D1 offers?

Scout and 247 both list Hyder as having an offer from UTEP

They're both Lamar kids. Is their coach one of those guys who turns away other colleges after his kids commit somewhere?

No, they've had big time kids like Bonney and Plattenburg who have kept looking around despite making commitments. I think the small number of offers comes from FBS coaches thinking that they might not project well to that level of football.
