Strong QB play could turn 4-8 into 8-4. I'm pretty hopeful about this one. At least need competition for Burcham. The freshmen look like they could be good, but both probably need some development. Would love to see a true duel threat in Colbert in all honesty. With Gresham back there, they could put up some numbers. I just think getting redshirted is the ideal. Then again TTU did it with a true fresh walk on (or was it a true fresh and a walk on...can't remember who was who).

You are assuming June will even make an attempt to contact the kid.

It's just really tough to learn JJ's system that quickly, I don't care who you are. I assume we'd only have Joeckel for 2014. Can't imagine him being even roughly comparable to the very talented GG -- who took a few games to gain even adequate competency. Not sure Joeckel could even help.

How is it hard to learn June's system? His system is what we all played growing up in the front yard: "Okay, everyone run around and I'll throw it to the open person."

GG had some psychological issues to get past as well, so keep that in mind as far as how long it took to get confidence in the system.

The more competition, the better we are. If we can add an upperclassman to a RS-SO, RS-FR and two true frosh, I think it sets up the program pretty well moving forward.

TCU's new system is a little more his speed if that's a priority for him. He'd pretty much be on the same level as the other guys who are just learning it.

Since we are not fully converting to the no huddle, according yo ther new coach SMI just hired, it should be easier to learn.
