hasn't heard from the coaches in a while. Apparently Deion Jr is his recruiter now? The story is on Scout.

Very possible that the SMU staff knows his SAT / ACT score.
Perhaps this guy would be willing to come back on staff to help us out in this regard...

I don't have a subscription. Is it the usual "I'm interested in SMU, but I never hear from the coaches and it's [deleted] me off" kind of stuff?

Sources confirm the WDNWHA committee ordered June to refrain from contacting the recruit, but after an investigation they found that June had already complied with the ruling before it was put into practice.

I agree that it is likely there is an academic side to this, as it is with multiple recruits.
It is one thing if a recruit can get into school, it is another to have a reasonable expectation that they can do the work and succeed academically.

What do you base this on?

Please.
UNC was graduating guys who couldn't even read. This is a business. You figure it out. It's still early and many more chances to take tests/summer school, etc etc.
This is one you don't give up on.

Como on guys, maybe it's not in the best interest of the player to recruit him knowing June might be gone after a year.
I'm sure there are more talented players that will help us much more which we're actively recruiting.
any other excuse I'm missing out on?

-We're not going to get him anyway since we don't have an IPF and our fans suck
-This kid is a liar and the recruiting services are out to get June

He does not have an attachment to any of our coaches.
Actually I guess that does not apply in this case based on his interview.

I thought I'd get a bigger laugh out of that-remember the stories about June storming into Hawaii ADs office because they stopped providing soap to Hawaii Football Shower Room.
Its always "the Administration Man"
