Whoa...this is a big one.

4-star on Rivals, #157 player in the nation over on ESPN. The haters here will decry his lack of offers, but he's by far the highest rated QB June has signed during his tenure at SMU.

We played foothill all the time in high school and I am worried about him being a system qb\being overrated. We'll see but honestly if he brings his side receiver with him I couldn't care less how he turns out

He looks to be a very good fit for JJ's system. Poised, accurate, with good velocity on the ball. I don't think we're getting Langley, he has offers from all over the country, but Kearns is a solid QB. I just hope we can hang onto him until NSD- unlike Tyler Harris and Eddie Printz

Sounds a lot like Preston, productive but lacking prototypical size and athleticism. Played with some big time talent but was largely ignored by power conference schools.

Seen him listed at 6'2-6'3 and around 190lbs. Will need to add some bulk, but has this summer, Sr. year of high school, and next summer to get stronger. Also listed as running a 4.8 forty, which isn't bad for a drop back passer. Watching his tape, he was able to extend the play several times using his legs and get up the field for some nice gains.

We are now tied at #57 in the Rivals rankings with UVa and Toledo (who was ten commitments) and just one spot behind Houston who has seven commitments.

His lack of offers is very strange, given the ESPN300 status and his 4-star ranking from Rivals and ESPN.

Perhaps bigger schools were close to offering or are waiting to swoop in later? I know Michigan was high on him.

Michigan already has a QB committed in this class- Alex Malzone, similar style QB, actually ranked one spot ahead of Kearns in Rivals' pro-style QB rankings

Maybe they knew he was SMU from the get go and didn't want to go head to head with JJ.
