Interesting. First I've heard of this kid.

“@AdamZagoria: 7-4 Jean Marc Christ Kumadje is currently visiting Georgia Tech. UCLA next week. UConn week of Aug. 25. SMU to be set.”

I'm just not sure he has the size to play at this level.

Ehh a highlight tape of someone 7'4 dunking on everyone at his level is not a good indication of his athleticism.

or you could look at it the way its meant to be looked at. That video was from one event, this past AAU season. Reebok Breakout is a very good event, the same one Eman tore up the summer before. W/just the highlights we saw on that reel, coupled w/it being the first live event of the session, kid is gonna get offers. He's playing against premier competition in most of those clips

I never said it was not impressive. I was commenting on athleticism being apparent because someone 7'4 can dunk a lot. Let me see more of his low post moves around the basket. Let me see more weak side help on def. Does he rebound with fundamentals or just try to use his height? How does he run the floor? How many minutes can he play?

The real question is will he be willing to wear ridiculous goggles. And what the video shows me is that he has an affinity for slow motion haha.

Maybe it was my fault, I did not quote the post I was responding to.

Let´s make sure we keep things in perspective. He is 7'4 (all 7´4 guys look slow) and before 18 months ago never played basketball. I think you are confusing fundamentals with athleticism. Low post moves, weak side help, rebounding fundamentals are things he will learn with coaching.

Yes, the highlight video showcased 95% dunks, but the kid had some nice put-backs and he wasn´t playing against undersized suburban Milwaukee kids (see Diamond Stone´s tape for a laugh...and no I am not saying this guy is comparable to Stone).

JEAN-MARC KOUMADJE/7’3 Team Breakdown 2015

WOW. It happened at Montverde a few years back with Joel Embiid, but can it happen again this time with Jean-Marc Koumadje? The progressions that the African center has made within his game over the past several months is quite remarkable where, at powerhouse Montverde Academy in Florida, the 7’3 big barely saw court action. In Philadelphia, JMK displayed unreal foot speed where he runs the floor more like a 6’5 guy, is quick to the rim on the dunk attempt, and his motor never wanes.

And yes, I really hope he brings those glasses to SMU
