Hoop, what do you know about the guy? Couple of spots are suggesting this might be SMU's next commit. Appears to have some decent offers.

I like the kid, tough NJ 3 man. I love the toughness of his offers like VCU. Probably not a star, but definitely right o par w/Barefield and Emegolu in terms of additions. I think we're really pushing up on the kid, we'll see

Would like for SMU to land a couple more 30-60 types, but it looks like some good top-to-bottom depth that will lead to a lot of ongoing success.

Agreed, but if this staff evaluates in the 80-150 range like w/Nic Moore, Ben Moore, Sterling Brown, Sed Barefield, we'll be good. Great needs some 30-60, though

I think we're hard-pressed to win this one, seeing as how late we were in, but I'd love to get this kid. NJ tough. Great that he didnt verbal to VCU after his visit

Markis McDuffie, a 6-foot-7 face-up four man from St. Anthony and Sports U, will take an official visit to Boston College this weekend and then visits SMU the last weekend of October, his father told SNY.tv.

“But when you look at him physically, you realize that he’s nowhere near where he’s going to be. He’s rail thin yet, physical comparisons would be to Kevin Durant, that type of physique. The projection on his growth is that he’s probably going to level off somewhere around 6-9 so you have a kid with great length who is a very good player without the body yet, without any physical strength yet. He’s very versatile and can do a little bit of everything.

From that he projects as a decent big prospect or would he be more like Moore.

I'm beginning to wonder if they see some Ben Moore in him. Keep one or two of the top 5 bigs tweeners.

His scouting report looks like a carbon copy of Moore's coming out of HS. Versatility and length >>>

Couple inches shorter than Moore.

If he get's to 6'9 and puts on enough weigh to keep from being rail thin. Probably a 2 year project to get the proper weigh on if he even gets to 6'9. But I will take him.

His upside is through the roof and once he becomes more consistent from behind the arc, he will be an absolute nightmare to guard.
