I read somewhere (on one of the message boards) that they did not offer him because he did not 'want" the offer.
It sounded liked they did not want to offer him unless he showed some level of interest.

Damon Sayles confirmed he got SMU offer Sunday. I saw a short tape of one play he made in All-American game last nite. Knifed into back field sacking QB in seconds about 5 yards from snap, causing fumble and then blocking him out of the way for his team to recover. Hopefully the next Jerry Ball-although a little bit smaller

Sounds good that he apparently wanted to be offered - had interest.
That will be a good question for Morris at some point - do you offer recruits who have shown no interest in your program, or do you get to know them a little and assess interest first.

Hopefully this will be the first local commit due to the Mathis hire.

Don't see him here unfortunately. Seems to be more interested in the bigger schools.

Pretty much most of our recent players in the NFL have been tweeting out to English, including Beach, McCann and Banjo. Again, it is a big part of these kids world. I do not tweet to the kids, but retweet and support in an effort to show an awareness. It does impress on the kids that people are aware, and care.

Good idea Well Traveled. I just retweeted pony up @ryanfoster365 from Banjo. (Gotta look at Pony Up's car - top page).

I do the same - RT and favorite the posts. These coaches sure do get it - I'm sure they asked our nfl alums to do this to help recruiting.

Former SMU players are even tweeting at recruits. I like what is happening at SMU.

They can Twitterbook at they want, but it likely comes down to whether Mack picks TCU.

Current 3* DT Rice commit Zach Abercrumbia will be visiting this weekend. Both of these guys in the class would be huge!
