Ath target?

Have heard a few mentions of Ashtyn Baker, the QB at South Garland (listed at 6-4, 175, 4.5). Watched a few highlights, and he looks like a pretty mobile guy who has a fairly strong arm, able to throw pretty deep on the run. But I haven't seen anything anywhere about him being recruited. His arm looks moderately strong but his release doesn't look lightning-fast. As a runner, he covers some ground, but looks like a long strider — makes you wonder how quickly he changes directions or starts/stops. Also don't know his stats.

Is he a good enough athlete to be a tall WR? Bulk up and play SS or OLB? Walk-on? I don't know.

Anyone else hearing/reading about him? Or is it a coincidence that I have heard his name come up?

Then again, he also plays basketball. Maybe that's his future?

Just from physical stats he definitely sounds like a very intriguing prospect. If he's got d1 skill then he'd probably need a redshirt to gain 10-12 lbs but even if he isn't a college qb prospect he sounds like he'd be a nice safety or receiver. Would have to see his pro agility however
