It's hard to see, but here's new SMU commitment Josh Williams hitting a 71-yard field goal.
As a matter of perspective, the NFL record is 65 yards.
Yes, it's in practice, but still …. (apparently his teammate, who is headed to Baylor next year, also hit a 71-yarder IN THE SAME PRACTICE).

Yes, essentially. I found one site that had Williams and his teammate (Drew Galitz) BOTH ranked among the top five kickers in the country. Apparently they're close friends, train together and competed all the time in practice in order to determine who would play in that week's game.
