SMU, Morris Attract Strong Initial Recruiting Class
All 22 Additions Hail From Texas

DALLAS (SMU) – The SMU Mustangs football program and Head Coach Chad Morris today announced the signing of 21 student-athletes who will join the football team in 2015. Including highly-touted quarterback Ben Hicks, who enrolled at SMU in January, 22 new Mustangs will suit up in the fall.

Hicks, who is a four-star ESPN recruit and ranked No. 2 at the Elite 11 QB Camp, joins all the other top talents in the class, which also features wide receivers James Proche and Kevin Thomas, both from DeSoto High School, and Xavier Castille from Rockwall among others. All members of the 2015 class hail from Texas.

“We are extremely happy with this first class,” said Morris. “We got some difference-makers and some guys who will have a shot at contributing next season. Things are only going to get better for SMU Football. It’s a great day to be a Mustang!”
