Could UW Be Making A Move On Three-Star QB?

Over the past couple of weeks, things have picked up on the recruiting front for Milton (Alpharetta, Ga.) QB David Moore, a commit to SMU, and Washington could be one of the schools the rising signal-caller visits this fall...
"I'm still solidly committed to SMU, but I also am talking to other schools and making sure I made the right choice for me," Moore told Dawgman.com recently. "Washington has been talking to me for the past couple of weeks and coach (Jonathan) Smith told me they are evaluating me and checking off things and that they could be offering pretty soon."
Moore committed to SMU back in April, but since that time, he's received offers from schools that run the gamut of college programs including some Power Five programs -- Oregon State, Illinois, Syracuse, Utah and Wake Forest.
"I really like SMU's program and their coaches there," Moore noted. "I'm still talking with the other schools though and I'm looking at taking visits before I sign, so I'm not completely shut down or anything, but I am happy with my decision right now."
As far as Washington is concerned, Moore is pretty familiar with the area as he lived in the Puget Sound region for five years and he still has a good amount of family there as well.
"I was born up there and I lived in Sammamish (Wa.) until I was about five years old," Moore said. "My aunt (mom's sister) still lives up there and we go back up there to see her sometimes, so I know that area pretty well.
"I feel pretty comfortable with coach Smith and they play in the Pac 12, so that's pretty big too.
