Stallion QuestionSince you seem to be following our commits much closer than others, who / how many of our incoming freshmen do you see making significant contributions to our much maligned defense next year?
How about Offense? Thanks in advance
Re: Stallion Questionprobably about 12-13 true or real freshman could contribute on defense alone. Best quesses-these are about 24-25 true or real freshmen I feel sure have a chance to contribute early-still have 2-3 more scholarships and many of those would step on the field early too
D. Scott M. Scott Jordon Williams Clemons (medical redshirt) Ken McLaurin (added) Noah Spears (added) Jordan Ward Bandejo Michael Clark Eric Sutton Mikial Onu Demerick Gary (Blake Carlisle I think is still growing and is a rail-he may need to redshirt) Myles Duke has the physical ability and athleticism but I'm not sure if he would play WR, Star or SS-may redshirt to learn new position On Offense Alex Honey Proche Bryce Wilds Keaton Bates Brandon Benson Corey Rau (going to be a stud) Jacob Todora (ready to play if necessary) Kadarius Smith (added after watching more video) Josh Shelmire Harrison Barton (surprise pick and making a big jump but he dominates at his level-reportedly will play Center) David Moore (with returning Senior QB-coaches decision-probably redshirt) I'm not discounting others have a shot either but there is less video on them like Christian Davis, Ryan Beckner, and Braxton Webb to evaluate. Oh and never discount a kid like Collin Rock playing somewhere-just watch his highlite thread which tell you all you need to know about what a winner that kid is. I want him on my team Help is definitely on its way Last edited by Stallion on Sat Nov 07, 2015 1:20 pm, edited 8 times in total.

When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.
Re: Stallion QuestionPretty remarkable when you think about it, if that many freshmen contribute.
I'm hoping they do, what do we gain by not letting them play?
Re: Stallion QuestionOf the above listed - Are any of them bigs? Like 300 pound DT bigs.
Our D-line is small and the two big guys we have do not have the attitude to fight. Really need help in the middle. Mustang Militia: Fight the good fight"
Re: Stallion Question
I think Chris Biggurs will help next year at DE or DT. #HammerDown
Re: Stallion QuestionOne is good but we need 3 or 4 to have a rotation.

Re: Stallion QuestionI've seen no "tape" on him but Patrick Jones is a big ole boy.
Re: Stallion QuestionI have heard that Proche "defies gravity" in practice. Source tells me he might be the most athletic WR on the roster

Re: Stallion QuestionI would imagine D. Moore redshirts A) b/c of Davis being a senior & B) to get some distance b/w him and Hicks eligibility wise
SMU Class of 2014
Re: Stallion Question
Unless Moore is clearly the best of the bunch, I would agree it would be nice to RS him and use Colbert and Hicks as backups next year. We just need to start winning and putting more butts in seats to help future recruiting
Re: Stallion Question
Butts in the seat, fan support, stadium atmosphere has zero effect on impressionable kids trying to make their college football commitment decision.
Re: Stallion Question
do you speak on behalf of all high school recruits with miserable parents? @seagulls00
Re: Stallion QuestionHaha, life is good monkey seagull......don't hate.

Re: Stallion Question
Now I know you're not a players parent
Re: Stallion QuestionRight, crazy isn't it? These kids don't care about the atmosphere of big time football, or loud and packed stadiums, or cool uniforms. They just care about the letters on the jersey, and the history of the program, particularly the 80's, and the size of the school endowment.
