247.com just re-ranked 440 players in its Texas Database (as well as other states)

Generally great news since the Top 10 and 12 out of Top 13 players in the Class were ALL up-ranked higher. In all 15 were up-ranked higher. 9 were down-graded lower but generally only a few spots and really I think it probably has more to do with the constantly expanded Database of Texas players as the season goes on and more players are discovered and rated. In Total 15 3+ stars under either their grade/composite scoring system. Under the old Rivals system which used to be Top 280 or so we would have about 18 or 19 3+*- but right now under more restrictive Rivals rating system we only have 4 3+*. That's a mirage-don't compare Rivals new ratings to past classes

Eric Sutton way up from 337 to 218 (great cover skills but size does hold him back in this type rating

Jordan Ward from 359 to 341 (kid had a great year-don't know why he isn't higher-not many great early offers perhaps-very happy we got him and think he contributes next year)

Downgraded (comments where I may disagree or explain possible reasons)
Corey Rau from 183 to 187 (vehemently disagree-he is perfect for our offense-I consider him 3* even by Rivals standards- ieTexas Top 150)
M.J. Clark from 211 to 246 (he didn't even play in 2014-injury late in 2015 season-but not serious)
Josh Shelmire from 215 to 261 (caught over 1400 yards of passes averaging 22 yards per catch an a ton of TDs-but they downgrade him-can't ask for much more but plays against private school competition)
Mikial Onu from242 to 279 ( I think he contributes next year)
Harrison Barton from 288 to 291 (simply dominating at his private level-great athlete)
Dae Williams from 26 to 29 (Oklahoma) (kid lead Oklahoma 6A in rushing per game on a lousy team-and they DOWNGRADE him?-tough crowd-will likely move from RB to LB)
Christian Davis from 279 to 297 (playing S-haven't seen enough video- team has won 8 straight)
Myles Duke from 289 to 298 (switched from QB to WR-made numerous explosive play despite poor passing game-great athlete)
Blake Carlisle from 264 to 394 (I do have concerns he has grown out of his position-looks 6-4 and SKINNY-not sure where he ends up-tough kid though who hits EXTREMELY hard-now playing TE)
Collin Rock from 284 to 372 (recruiting services don't know what to do with guys like Rock just watch his video-the kid is a WINNER-don't bet against him)
