Eric Sutton ran a very nice 11.09 100 Meters in a very early February 20th meet last week. Only .17 off one of the top sprinters in the country, Not too far off career best of 11.00 which was in April 2015. Finished 4th but this looks like a high quality field. In the same event Michael Clark finished 8th in the 400 Meters in a big field with a time of 53.12-besting his personal best by almost 1 1/2 seconds

I don't think Eric Sutton competed in individual events this week but he was a member of a 4x100Meters team that ran the 8th fastest time in Texas this year a 4x200Meters team that ran the 21st fastest time in Texas this year

Most of the real burners go to schools that have track. Ut, tcu, baylor, oregon, florida, etc

There are utility fb guys in tx that rip 10.5s on the regular. When can we get one of them?

they usually aren't running 10.5s this early in the season. One of the Top sprinters in Texas ran a 10.95 in that early meet in February. They'll bring those times down in April and May

I've suggested Track at SMU for years. The only time I recall mentioning a track team on Ponyfans the members thought it was a bad idea. (We would either have to drop a sport or add track and a female sport). However, these "Ponyfans" need to decide how badly they want a speedy football team. In my humble opinion speed is one of the most important aspects of team development.

We would have more sports if we had the original proposed big east tv deal that johnny boy was forced to turn down.

searching around the track performances of our recruits and didn't realize that Michael Badejo ran the 100 Meters and 100 Meter Relays for Mansfield Timberview last year. Not bad for a big guy-11.54 was his best time
