Has run the SMU offense since he was in 9th grade. 16-1 as a Starter-only loss in 6A State Championship. Also was runner up QB in Texas 7x7 State Championship losing on last play of the game-this was before he was ever a full-time starter for Lake Travis

Nice pedigree: Charlie's brother Michael was an underrated qb at Texas Tech and Va Tech, their father, Robert Brewer, grandfather, Charley Brewer, and uncle, Rob Moerschell, all played quarterback at Texas

Brewer is a fantastic commitment, but he isn't the 4 or 5 star QB that the big guns focus on. Same thing happened with his brother. They don't have the measurable, but they know how to run the system and are athletic enough to be very successful in college. GG was recruited by UT because he is 6'4 and has a prototype arm.
