Excellent. Hopefully this is the start of some great turf wars for years to come.

I think we did great in Houston in the last 2 prior years too. Picked up Xavier Jones and Braeden West at the last minute in 2015 plus 2 DBs that I think could be great but are recovering from injury Jordan Williams and Clemons. Still waiting on Wilds but OLM take awhile. Think we definitely got numerous future starters in 2016 too from Houston in Rau, Shelmire, Carmouche, Mikial Onu, Jordan Ward, Blake Carlisle, Harrison Barton, Myles Duke and Collin Rock. I can conservatively see 8-9 even 10 starters from H-Town from those 3 classes within 2 more years. We've got some great recruiters in H-Town and they are finding some hidden athletic gems as well as the more highly recruited players.

Don't know much about the 6th Houston recruit this year- Jordan Gipson- yet

How are the Cougars doing in Houston, recruiting-wise?

Pretty well according to that list. Houston has 7 top-50, while SMU has 1. Also it is important to note there are 14 top-50 that are not committed yet. So maybe we get a couple of those guys, maybe.

Houston commits:
21. Terry Petry, DB, Ridge Point
30. Alex Duke, DE, Bellaire
37. Derek Parish (16), LB, Pearland
39. Terrel Bernard, LB, La Porte
43. Sam Cosmi, OL, Atascocita
49. Parker Eichenberger (87), TE, Katy
50. Chidi Ogbonnaya, DE, Langham Creek

I'd say they are doing pretty good with htowntakeover

Besides SMU/UH, there are only 3 guys committed to "non-P5" schools: Boise, Memphis and UNLV in that top-50.

According to Scout, UH didn't offer

25. Tyler Page
53. Toby Ndukwe

not sure about the others. So, SMU has Tyler Page and the QB out of Austin, plus the Arky transfer. Should be a good competition.

I'd like the secretary to note that sunshiner ponyboy was the instigator of a negative comment.

UT has seven elsewhere in Texas. They also lead for some of the top Houston players. Hopefully they get shut out of H-Town. :D
