Local recruiting appealing heavily to inner city kids. Splashmouth brand of football with no apologies.
- Making changes to the school infrastructure and admission policies to recruit better athletes
- Branding your team as "Miami's" team (or in our case Dallas).
Private school performance is always going to go up and down, but the brand of the school is what persists in the down times.
The financial commitment made to June forced a lot of changes to the SMU model, as did LB, and as did CM. They have all had a positive impact on what is available to help SD be successful, and hopefully will remain for future coaches.
