SMU adds transfer tight end

Former Texas State tight end Micah Hilts announced on his Twitter account that he is committed to transfer to SMU with one year of eligibility. He played in just six games last season, with one catch for 12 yards. In his career at TSU, which listed him last year at 6-5 and 255 pounds, he caught 16 passes for 198 yards. He sat out the 2020 season as a medical redshirt. He signed with Texas State in 2019 as a wide receiver, before adding more than 50 pounds.
