#1 player in Texas, #4 in the country. Our chances are not great, but the publicity for other recruits is invaluable.

Love the fact that one of the top area players is going to take a serious look at SMU. You never know who the next "Pied Piper" recruit is going to be. Cauley's commitment is a good start but Simmons would be huge for '24!

The long-term "Goal" would be able to connect close to home and stay close to family. SMU can hook you up in a great business (if you apply yourself)
Yes, you can go to a old rusting name like Bama, but the field is now more level and staying home is best for you and your family.
God's Peace

I share your loyalty to SMU, but "old rusting" Bama is a bit off the mark, don't you think? That rusty old team finished 5th in the final 2022 rankings, and that was considered an "off year" in which the Tide basically had no receivers worth anything for Bryce Young to throw to. They annually get one of the top recruiting classes in the country, and even with Georgia winning the last 2 championships, Bama is viewed by most as the premier program in the country.
