Listed on the A&M website as a 5-10, 195-pound sophomore in 2023, Harmon is a graduate of Guyer High School in Denton, Texas, where he also ran track. In addition to A&M, Harmon had offers out of high school from SMU, Oregon, USC, Notre Dame, Texas, Washington State, Cal, Arkansas, Baylor, Houston, Illinois, Illinois State, Kansas, Kansas State, Memphis, Mississippi State, North Texas, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, TCU, Texas Tech, Virginia Tech
