SMU adds highly-sought receiver

Jalen Cooper (6-1.5 / 165), a 2025 receiver from Cibolo (Steele), Texas, announced on his Twitter account that he has committed to SMU.
Cooper chose SMU over offers from Texas A&M, Michigan State, Utah, Baylor, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, Arkansas, Boise State, Campbell, Houston, Louisiana, North Texas, Prairie View A&M, Stephen F. Austin, Texas State, Texas Tech, Toledo, UNLV, Utah, UTEP, UTSA

Another quality addition. Momentum is building for this class to really be something special. With 5 senior WRs on the roster, this is an area that needs attention

Tremendous momentum, continue to seize it ! Great job by coaches and staff to put together a serious 2025 class. We will undoubtedly lose some but will grab others. We're in the ring against the BIG boys now.
As of right now IF we were in the Big 12 we would have the best 2025 class.

Saw this story watching KSAT 12 news at 10PM last night (San Antonio ABC affiliate).
Good pub on why he is going to SMU that will be seen by many other talented kids here in SA.

JasonB just pointed out the ND's QB doesn't pass the ball very much. This year's stats bear that out. Why would a WR be interested in a team like that?

I pay less attention to recruiting than I once did, because more than ever, until a player signs, nothing is even close to set.
